Jim Castengera - Service Operations Manager Eastern Region

Jim has been a licensed professional captain for 29 years as well as a project manager for several new builds including a 111' Broward and a 120' Crescent Motor Yacht. He has captained both sport fish and motoryachts and has travelled extensively logging over 100,000 miles from Maine to Venezuela and Alaska to Mexico.
Prior to joinging Ocean Alexander Jim was a service manager for a foreign boat builder for the previous five years and made over 18 round trips to Asia for sea trials and quality assurance inspections. His professionalism and experience will be an assett to Ocean Alexander's service department and will enhance customer satisfaction.
Jim holds the following certifications: Detroit Diesel Certificate; ABYC electrical Certificate; Advanced First Aid certificate; Maritime Defense certificate; Advance Fire Fighting certificate and Dive Master.

Arthur Grin - Yacht Consultant

Arthur has been in love with the water since he first lived in the Netherlands. He started as a sailing instructor and was educated in maritime engineering. Upon moving to the US in 1978, Aurthur continued to work in the marine industry in both Michigan and Texas. He has been in the Florida yachting industry since 1983 and a member of the Florida Yacht Brokers Association since 1987. His diverse background allows him to have a great understanding of his clients' needs.

Yolanda Phinney - Yacht Consultant

Yolanda likes to say that she has been in the yachting world since she was six. That's when she got her first boat and she hasn't looked back. She grew up on Long Island Sound and thought that the Sound was the gateway to the world. Whether racing sailboats or trolling for the big one, she spent every spare moment on or in the water. Moving to Florida after grad school she began her own yacht management company and became involved in trans Atlantic deliveries. She has been around the Horn and through the Panama Canal 18 times! As a liveaboard, she learned the understanding yachting dreams and how to make them reality. She has been a yacht broker for over 17 years and is member of CPYB and FYBA. With the experiences of being a delivery skipper, a charter crew person, live aboard, and yacht management, Yolanda is uniquely equipped to help my clients in buying and selling a pre-owned yacht and to help guide a semi-custom build for a discriminating buyer.

David Gennett - Yacht Consultant

Being from Nashville, Tennessee, David has spent his time since age 13 operating boats from Nantucket south to Key West, Bahamas, Caribbean/Trinidad and west to the Great Lakes and even a little in the Seattle area. He attended Memphis State University and spent time in the Navy aboard the DLG USS Dewey, qualifying on the helm and doing a crossing in the Pacific to Vietnam during the Tet offensive, up to North Korea when the Pueblo was stolen, then later across the Atlantic in a joint task force with the British.

He began Rock Harbor Marina in Nashville with his father starting in 1969 with only 12 slips and a fuel dock eventually growing it to 135 slips and dry storage of 36 bays with 4 locations. Moving to Fort Lauderdale in the early 90’s, David worked for over 17 years with the Allied Richard Bertram Marine Group and Galati Yachts. He served 6 years on the board of directors of Florida Yacht Brokers Association serving as President in 2001. Joining the Ocean Alexander team he looks forward to utilizing his sales experience of motor yachts, sport fishing boats and new builds along with his understanding of the mechanical aspects of yachts to further serve present and future clients.

Grant Henderson - Yacht Consultant

Grant is originally from Madison, WI and has always had an affinity for the water. When he was eight years old his dad bought him an 11' Slyvan fishing boat with a 7.5hp Mercury engine and he was hooked. He grew up spending most of his time on the water competitively sailing Scows and Lasers, waterskiing, and playing hockey. He attended Lawrence University where he played hockey for four years and graduated with a bachelor's degree in history. Shortly after graduation, Grant relocated to south FL determined to break into the yachting profession. After a short stint at Miami Beach Marina, he got a job as a first mate aboard a 93' Westship, Bravo Zulu. In addition to his many responsibilities, he oversaw the complete re-painting of the vessel at the Lauderdale Marine Center. He was then fortunate enough to spend the next 14 months on board extensively traveling the Caribbean, Bahamas, East Coast of FL, and Canada.

Upon his return, Grant settled in Fort Lauderdale and decided to pursue a career within a different capacity in the yachting industry. He began managing a handful of local yachts, which led to an eventual partnership with 4Yacht, Inc. where he spent the next six years working as a broker. During his time at 4Yacht, Inc. Grant helped to build the once small business into a global operation with five locations worldwide. Grant is passionate and loves what he does and is delighted to be a part of the Ocean Alexander team as they are a top leader in the industry with the reputation to follow.

John Booysen - Yacht Consultant

Born and raised in South Africa where the ocean is considered your master, John quickly gained a great respect for the open sea. From his experience as a captain, he realizes that quality construction and good seamanship go hand-in-hand with pleasurable boating. John has sailed from South Africa to the Bahamas, cruised throughout the Caribbean Islands and has made South Florida his home.

John started his career as a yacht broker with Chas P. Irwin Yacht Brokerage in 2000 and joined Allied Richard Bertram Marine Group in 2003. It was there that he was awarded the prestigious “Top Azimut Broker of the year” awarded in both 2003 and 2004. He was also honored in 2004 as being one of the top producers in both new and brokerage vessels.

Kevin McCarthy - Yacht Consultant

Kevin McCarthy, a native of South Florida grew up in a boating community. His love of boating and all that the boating lifestyle has to offer was fostered in him at an early age. As he gained his sea legs, his passion for the ocean and boating grew from the family’s first entry level boat to a new 53’ Hatteras in 1979.

Kevin joined the Allied Marine Group in 1988. He enjoyed 20 years with Allied ultimately becoming a specialist in larger yachts. While with Allied he received numerous sales achievement awards including the “Top Gun” award for new Hatteras sales worldwide. Though recognized as a Hatteras specialist he also enjoyed the ability to consult as an expert in the area of new yacht construction. Assisting his clients to realize their vision by overseeing and being involved in the process from inception to delivery, including working, and consulting personally with manufacturers’ such as; Westship 103’, Benetti 120’,145’, Ferretti 94’, 72’, Riva 80’,44’, Azimut and Donzi,.

His knowledge and expertise in the intricacies of yacht building combined with his large and diverse inventory of brokerage boats, allows Kevin to continue to enjoy the ability to offer his many years of experience to his sophisticated clientele of both domestic and foreign national’s wide and varied options in their purchase of a vessel.

Steve Bozas-Wessinger - Yacht Consultant

As a result of growing up on the water in Fort Lauderdale, Steve quickly developed a love for boating at a very young age. His career began with Hatteras of Lauderdale from 1983 to 1988. He then worked with Broward Marine from 1988 to 1999 when Broward Marine was sold. From that point, Steve worked for Marine Max from 1999 to 2009.

Steve enjoys working with clients and meeting their needs. Dedication to hard work, many years of knowledge and listening to the clients have been the keys to his success in the boating industry.
